Product Development

Tooling Center

Our on-site tooling center is home to 9 certified master builders who focus on quality and accuracy. The concept comes to life during this process when an idea is turned into a physical item through our proven tooling process. We have two single station thermoformers in this location so that samples can be produced and reviewed prior to proceeding to production.

Laboratory Testing

Our state-of-the-art on-site testing facilities allow our customers the piece of mind that the design and products laid out by our staff will perform in the real world. We put our products through rigorous testing in an attempt to replicate actual circumstances and provide the customer with a detailed report of performance and observations.

Vibration Testing

Performed on computerized equipment that’s state-of-the-art, this test simulates over-the-road transportation in a controlled but accelerated environment. This provides a window for viewing potential unit pack transportation damages — before the program is implemented.

Compression Testing

Performed to 10,000 lbs. using single and multiple degrees of freedom. The test simulates warehouse stacking conditions and quickly amplifies potential issues resulting from pure compression or buckling.

Inspection

CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) provides precise measurement of trim edges, hole locations, and complex surfaces using IGES or data files. Dimensional correctness is validated ensuring accurate first article production parts.

Slide-Impact Testing

Determines the potential for product damage resulting from an abrupt deceleration. The test simulates practical, everyday usage such as sharp truck braking, fork trucks striking curbs or "bumping" freight cars in a rail yard.

Engineering and Design

Our Engineering team will put all of your concerns to rest by providing full service management service. You will be partnered with a project manager that will walk you through our process and keep you advised of issues and concerns as they arise. We hold weekly meetings to ensure that projects stay on track and use this time to allocate resources to those in need. The development of your program is vitally important and we want to apply the latest technology to ensure the product produced exceeds any expectations.

 

Extrusion

We boast six in house extruders which allows for reduced cost to the customer as well as improved quality and timing. Raw sheet stock can be produced to meet exact specifications and blends ensuring that the finished goods are of the highest quality. We perform quality checks during multiple points of extrusion to make sure that all parts will form with the same characteristics. Ranging in thickness from .030 to .500 and up to 48” x 96” in size we can get the sheet needed in a timely fashion to keep all deliveries on track.

Co-Extrusion

We also have the capability to co-extrude material, allowing customer to have a thin-capped layer of colored material on top of a black base. This is a cost-effective way to form colored material without having to use expensive virgin material for color.
